Hello? Are we blogging? Ok, so this is a blog.  Can you hear me? I guess I just…write?  I feel like I’m taking a lesson in sewing (which I did do recently) and I have no idea where to start from, so I’m just… starting.  Is that cool? I also kind of feel like I’m standing in front of a dark cave and I can’t see in but I can hear my echo.  I’m sure I’ll get used to this.

I love a good Thursday!  Lots happening at Camp Stuckey regarding the upcoming release of our album, The Old States.  I’m burning the candle at both ends to get everything in order and I’m really excited.  Tonight we play at the Tasting Room for those of you who are looking for a great place to chill and have a glass of wine.  Let me tell you why I love playing at the Tasting Room:  1. It’s very laid back. 2. I get to people watch while singing. 3. We have fun. 4. You have fun. We’ll get going around 8pm tonight!

Welcome to the new website! I’m glad you and I can use this cyber forum to stay in touch with all the latest and greatest in music news. For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Katie Stuckey. I ‘wedded’ in December of 2008 and took on a new last name: Rushing! But I’ll keep it simple with the albums and shows: we’ll stick with Katie Stuckey.

A little about my music: Our music (the band), and my music has been described as Rootsy/Americana/Folk, and that’ s wonderful, I won’t argue with that. However, I primarily consider myself a singer songwriter. I hope to tell you a story with my songs.
